Dutchess County - The County of Dutchess, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed submission of application and adoption of local law will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the submission of application to the New York State Commissioner of Economic Development to revise the boundaries of the Empire Zone and the adoption of a companion local law, the effect of which will be to exclude certain unsuitable lands in the City of Poughkeepsie, the Towns of Poughkeepsie, Fishkill and East Fishkill, add other suitable land within the Towns of Poughkeepsie, East Fishkill and City of Poughkeepsie, and add lands in the Town of Dover and the City of Beacon.

Dutchess County - The Planning Board of Amenia, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Nextel of New York Wireless communications Facility will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves Site Plan, Special Use Permit and area variance approval to allow the construction of a wireless communications facility for commercial wireless communications use in the Town’s Agricultural Zoning District. The proposal includes construction of a 120 foot monopole, twelve (12) panel antennas, each measuring 48 inches high by 6 inches wide by 8.5 inches deep; 10 foot by 20 foot concrete pad on which a prefabricated equipment shelter would be placed, use of an existing drive, approximately 800 feet in length, which would be improved with a gravel surface and widened to 12 feet in width and would be used by the applicant to gain access to the tower location; and construction of two (2) parking spaces. Space would be provided for an emergency services whip antenna, which may increase the proposed height by approximately 16 feet. The project is located on US Route 44.

|Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing|
Rockland County - The Village Board of the Village of Haverstraw, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Haverstraw Downtown Waterfront Redevelopment Project. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on December 17, 2001 at 7:30 p.m. at the Haverstraw Village Hall, 40 New Main Street, Haverstraw, New York. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until December 28, 2001. The action involves Approval of a proposed public/private redevelopment initiative consisting of several components comprised of: 1) the adoption of amendments to the Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map of the Village of Haverstraw to create a new Section 245-21.1 of the Zoning Ordinance entitled "WPD Waterfront Planned Development District" (WPD District) and to re-zone certain of the properties identified below to WPD District; 2) the adoption of the proposed "Village of Haverstraw Waterfront Urban Renewal Plan" which affects the property identified below; 3) the public purpose for the potential condemnation under the Eminent Domain Procedure Law of certain of the properties identified below; 4) the adoption of the proposed "Village of Haverstraw Local Waterfront Revitalization Program" (LWRP) which affects all property located in the Village of Haverstraw which has been designated by New York State as Coastal Area; and 5) the adoption of the proposed "Village of Haverstraw Waterfront Consistency Review Law" to implement the LWRP and which affects all property located in the Village of Haverstraw designated by New York State as Coastal Area.

|Notice of Acceptance of Draft Generic EIS|
Dutchess County - The Planning Board of East Fishkill, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Meadow Creek Corporate Park. Written comments on the Draft Generic EIS will be accepted until January 11, 2002. The action involves the construction of a 1.27 million square foot development (gross floor space) consisting of professional office space, research and development uses and a convenience mart/gasoline station on a 151-acre site zoned PCP and I-1, in the Town of East Fishkill. The project concept plan proposes 3 full access drives, a right turn in/right turn out only driveway, as well as three emergency access drives. The project also proposes the construction of a sewage treatment plant and a water storage tank on-site. The project is bounded by Interstate 84(I-84) Exit 15 to the south, Lime Kiln Road to the west and north, and Shenandoah Road to the east in East Fishkill, Dutchess County, New York 12533.

Putnam County - The Planning Board of the Town of Putnam Valley, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Strawberry Knoll Subdivision. The action involves approval for a 15-lot, single-family residential conventional subdivision on a 66-acre parcel of land, on the west side of Mill Street near its intersection with Lovers Lane, in the Town of Putnam Valley.
