Erie County - The State University Construction Fund, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed MacKay Heating Plant Rehabilitation will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves abating asbestos, removing coal and gas boilers, auxiliary equipment, coal and ash-handling systems, and installing new gas/oil boilers and equipment; installing underground fuel storage tanks; providing staff support spaces; rehabilitating building enclosure and associated MEP work. The project is located at the State University of New York, South Campus, Buffalo.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Erie County - The Village of Hamburg, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Country Meadows. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on December 20, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at the Hamburg Central High School Auditorium, 4111 Legion Drive, Hamburg, NY. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until January 4, 2002. The action involves a Planned Unit Development District under the Village Zoning Ordinance by Clover Construction Management, Inc. of Amherst, New York, on behalf of Country Meadows Associates to develop approximately 301 units of single-family, patio home, condominium and multi-family housing on two adjoining vacant parcels of land located in the northwestern portion of the Village of Hamburg.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Niagara County - The Planning Board of the Town of Lockport, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Home Depot Plaza Buildout. The action involves construction of additional retail space at the existing Home Depot Plaza on South Transit Road in the Town of Lockport. Three new retail stores with the gross square footage of 32,277 GSF, 23,430 GSF and 8,903 GSF and one fast food restaurant of 3,333 GSF are proposed, for a total new construction of 67,943 GSF. The project is located at 5720 South Transit Road, Town of Lockport.
