Project Description: The applicant proposes to restore a portion of Freshwater Wetland BO-1 as provided for under the Wetland Reserve Program. A series of eight pothole ponds of varying size (minimum 5,000 square feet) and depth (0-36 inches) will be constructed with interconnecting channels in a wet meadow where a monotypic stand of reed canary grass is the predominant vegetative cover type. The project will comply with specifications and guidelines of the National Resource Conservation Service and will be conducted with assistance from Ducks Unlimited staff. |

Project Description: Top of the World Golf Course proposes to construct 9 new holes to expand the existing course to 18 holes. Five work areas are proposed in or near the banks of a tributary of Lake George (class AA Special), for construction of: tees, green and fairway; a detention basin; and a cart path bridge crossing. Areas will be stabilized with rip-rap, sod or seed. There will be no disturbance to the streambed. The golf course is located on Lockhart Mountain Road. |
