Wayne County - The Department of Environmental Conservation has determined that the Registry of Inactive Hazardous Waste Disposal Sites in New York State needs to be amended to delete site number 859016, known as the Nu-Kote (formerly the Burroughs Corp.) Site. This site is located in the Town of Macedon, the County of Wayne, and is located at 1610 Commons Parkway. The reason for deletion is:

Orleans County - The Medina Village Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Western Orleans Comprehensive Plan will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The proposed action involves the adoption of a joint Comprehensive Plan prepared by the Towns of Yates, Ridgeway and Shelby and the Villages of Medina and Lyndonville pursuant to NYS Town Law Section 272-a and NYS Village Law Section 7-722. The Comprehensive Plan includes an inventory of existing conditions, a set of policies and recommended actions to guide future land use development and community services; future land use maps; recommendations for infrastructure improvements; and procedures for maintaining and updating the Plan. The project is in the Towns of Yates, Ridgeway and Shelby including the Villages of Lyndonville and Medina.

Yates County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Bare Hill Unit Management Plan will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves setting forth the proposed goals, objectives, management actions and associated costs for the management of 298 acres of Unique Area within Yates County. The plan details management activities for a 10-year period, from 2001-2011. A review and amendment process will take place at the end of the fifth year. Public participation has been sought via mailings and a public meeting on March 21, 2001. Full consideration for public input will be sought prior to completion of the final draft. Management activities planned for this unit include: the general maintenance of the facilities, forest, wildlife management and land acquisition. Creating and maintaining up to 117 acres of open fields and logging up to 119 acres. Maintaining the shallow water impoundments by excavating the bottoms of existing ponds and mowing dykes. Upgrade two access roads and close all other roads by controlling erosion. Closed roads will be available for use by non-motorized recreational users. Scenic vistas will be created by removal of trees and shrubs and restored with native grasses and forbs. The project is located in the Town of Middlesex.
