The waterline will cross the Genesee River, via directional drilling method. The project will require an Article 15, Protection of Waters Permit, in addition to the Water Supply Permit. Project Description: The Department has made a tentative determination to approve this application for a new permit for a subsurface discharge of up to 30,000 gallons per day of treated sanitary effluent, associated with a proposed new mobile home park, Canalside Estates, to be located on Route 31, on Galloway Hill just south of the canal, in the Town of Palmyra. The new park will be constructed in two phases; Phase I will consist of 49 units and Phase II will consist of 50 units. The wastewater treatment system will consist of a series of septic tanks and seepage pits. The action was considered a Type I Action pursuant to SEQR and a Negative Declaration was issued by the Town of Palmyra on September 24, 2001. A draft permit is available for review and comment at the NYSDEC Region 8 Office. |
