Project Description: The applicant proposes to rehabilitate the southbound roadway of the FDR Drive from East 54th Street to East 63rd Street. A temporary three lane pile supported roadway is proposed to be constructed east of the FDR Drive in the East River to enable total closure of the southbound structure for its accelerated rehabilitation. The temporary pile supported roadway structure will take 16 months to build, be operational for 33 months and take 7 months to remove. As a condition of the permit NYSDOT will compensate for impacts associated with the project by implementation of mitigation measures required by NYSDEC. (This revised notice supercedes the previous "Notice of Complete Application", for this project which was dated October 22, 2001). |
