Positive Declaration

Erie County - The Orchard Park Central School District, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Orchard Park High School, Murphy Road Site, may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves the Orchard Park Central School District proposing to construct a new High School complex on a 134-acre parcel located on Murphy Road. The action will involve the construction of a 274,300 square foot building (474,300 total s.f.), 13 multipurpose athletic fields, a track and football field, cross-country trails, driveways, and parking. An existing building on the site previously occupied by the Sisters of Mercy, will remain and likely be used for future administrative offices. If approved, the proposed complex may require road improvements to Murphy Road and several area intersections. The project is a 134 acre parcel on Murphy Road between Armor-Duells Road and Powers Road in the Town of Orchard Park, Erie County, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Cattaraugus County: The Cattaraugus-Little Valley Central School District, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed New Middle/High School Facility, #04-23-02-02-0-013-001, and New Bus Garage, #04-23-02-04-5-012-001. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on October 9, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at the Cattaraugus-Little Valley Junior Senior High School Gymnasium, 25 North Franklin Street, Cattaraugus, New York. The action involves the acquiring of 360 acres of land for construction of a new middle/high school facility approximately 150,000 gross square feet in size and a new bus garage facility. The proposed site of the new Middle/High School is located on the north side of Maples Road, east of Scott Corners Road. The proposed site for the new bus garage is located on the south side of Maples Road, east of Jersey Hollow Road.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS

Erie County - The Town of Grand Island, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Private Mesmer Airstrip. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until November 12, 2001. The action involves the construction of a private airstrip on an approximately 16-acre site. The project is located at 2548 Love Road, Grand Island, New York.
