Ulster County - The Town of Marbletown, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Five Locks Walk, D&H Canal will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the restoration of Towpath and towpath bridge for the D&H Canal. Restoration of five locks and provisions for two parking areas. The project is located in High Falls.

|Positive Declaration with Public Scoping Session|
Orange County - The Town of Montgomery Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed DiMartino Subdivision may have a significant adverse environmental impact and a draft EIS must be prepared. A scoping session will be scheduled on Monday, October 29, 2001 at the regular Planning Board meeting at the Town Hall. The action involves a subdivision which consists of four separate parcels located on Kings Hill and Plains Road in the northeast corner of the town of Montgomery.

|Public Hearing Rescheduled and Extension of Public Comment Period|
Westchester County - The Planning Board, of the Town of Cortlandt, as lead agency, has rescheduled a public hearing for the proposed Planned Residential Community known as Valeria. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on October 11, 2001 at 7:30 p.m. at the Vincent F. Nyberg General Meeting Room, Cortlandt Town Hall, 1 Heady Street, Cortlandt Manor, New York. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until October 22, 2001. The action is for a 253 lot, open space subdivision and proposed roads, utilities and other proposed related site improvements on 731 acres. The project is located on the east and west side of Furnace Dock Road and on the south side of Sniffen Mountain Road.

|Notice of Acceptance of Draft Supplemental EIS and Public Hearing|
Westchester County - The Mount Kisco Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Supplemental EIS on the proposed Woodcrest Subdivision at Leonard Park. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2001 at 7:30 p.m. at Mount Kisco Village Hall, 104 Main Street, Mount Kisco. Comments on the Draft Supplemental EIS will be accepted by the Mount Kisco Planning Board c/o the Mount Kisco Building Department, Mount Kisco Village Hall, 104 Main Street, Mount Kisco until Friday, November 2, 2001 or 10 days following the close of the Public Hearing. The action involves the development of a moderate density cluster residential subdivision on 25.09 acres of vacant land to accommodate the development of 112 residential units of affordable senior housing in two 3 1/2 story buildings and 40 semi-attached residences. The project is located on New York State Route 172 (South Bedford Road), west of McLain Street, in the Village/Town of Mount Kisco.

|Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing|
Westchester County - The New Rochelle Zoning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft EIS on the proposed Young Israel of New Rochelle Synagogue. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on October 17, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at Room B1, City Hall. The public comment period ends October 27, 2001 or 10 days after the close of the public hearing whichever date is later. The proposed action is an application made by Young Israel of New Rochelle under the requirements of the City of New Rochelle Zoning Ordinance so as to permit the erection of an approximately 36,885 gross square foot synagogue at the premises commonly known as 1149 North Avenue (Block 2400, Lot 2), New Rochelle, New York. The premises is in an R-1AA Zoned District.

Dutchess County - The Town of LaGrange, as lead agency, has accepted a Final EIS on the proposed Town of LaGrange/Manchester Water District. The action involves several components which generally include: creation of a new water district; agreements with private Developers for in-kind contributions and cash contributions; agreement with City/Town of Poughkeepsie Joint Water Board for Joint Water Board source option; acquisitionof easements and title to private lands as needed for the installation of and access to water facilities by agreements or eminent domain; installation of water supply and distribution facilities; financing for the project; and obtaining required permits and approvals. The projects is located in the Town of LaGrange.

Westchester County - The City of Yonkers City Council, as lead agency, has accepted a Final EIS on the proposed Stop & Shop Supermarket. The action involves the issuance of a Special Exception Use Permit which would allow the conversion of a 75,500 sq. ft. multi-use commercial building to a state-of-the art Stop & Shop supermarket. The project is located on an 8.4 acre parcel which is part of the Cross County Shopping, a 905,000 sq. ft. shopping center located in the City of Yonkers.
