Project Description: The applicant proposes to construct a storm water management facility designed to accommodate current development of the Sisters of St. Joseph new Mother House and future development planned by Nazareth College of Rochester occurring within a 190 acre watershed which is tributary to the East Branch of Allen's Creek (Class B). The management facility will incorporate detention and retention practices around the watershed's protected tributary, with an ultimate thermally mitigated discharge to the East Branch of Allen's Creek. For the purposes of obtaining the Section 401 Water Quality Certification the Department will require strict compliance with the Department's Storm Water SPDES General Permit No. GP-93-06 for Storm Water Discharges Associated with a Construction Activity. Application materials are available for public review and comment at the NYS DEC Regional Headquarters. |
