Negative Declaration

Schenectady County - The Town Board of the Town of Niskayuna, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Environment One Corporation will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of a 34,000 sq. ft. addition for office and production to the existing 42,000 sq. ft. facility. The facility is located on 34 acres. The project is located at 2773 Balltown Road, Town of Niskayuna.

Schenectady County - The Schenectady Metroplex Development Authority, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Parker Inn Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the renovation of the 95-year old Parker Building and conversion into a 23-room hotel. The project is located at 434 State Street, next to Proctor’s Theatre which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Positive Declaration

Rensselaer County - The Town of Sand Lake Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Bon Acre Hamlet Planned Development District may have a significant adverse environmental impact. Comments will be received throught September 30, 2001. The action involves the rezoning of an approximately 92.93 acre parcel from Residential to Planned Development District allowing mixed commercial - residential use, senior complex, single family housing, recreational fields and open space. The project is located on Route 43, Town of Sand Lake.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS - Revised End of Public Comment Period

Rensselaer County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft EIS for the proposed land acquisition and addition/alterations for the Averill Park Middle School in the Averill Park Central School District, SED Project No. 49-13-02-06-0-009-003. The public comment period for this project is extended from October 4, 2001 to October 16, 2001. Comments are requested on the Draft EIS and will be accepted by the contact person until October 16, 2001. The action involves the purchase of 8 acres of land adjacent to existing property and 40,000 square feet of new additions. The project is located on NYS Route 351 in the Town of Poestenkill.

The public comment period for this project is extended from October 4, 2001 to October 16, 2001. Comments are requested on the Draft EIS and will be accepted by the contact person until October 16, 2001. The action involves the purchase of 15 acres of land adjacent to existing property and 20,000 square feet of new additions. The project is located on Gettle Road in the Town of Sand Lake.

Revised Notice of Public Hearing

Rensselaer County - The Planning Commission of the City of Troy, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies Building and Related Youth Campus Improvements. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on October 2, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at the Troy City Hall, 1 Monument Square, Troy, New York. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted by the contact person until October 11, 2001. The action involves construction of a Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies Building, a Performing Arts Center, a 500-car parking garage, replacement chiller, new boiler plant, and a new electrical substation. The project is located on the campus of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York.
