Positive Declaration and Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS

Rensselaer County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed land acquisition and addition/alterations for the Averill Park Middle School in the Averill Park Central School District, SED Project No. 49-13-02-06-0-009-003, may have a significant adverse environmental impact and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement has been prepared. Comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until October 4, 2001.The action involves the purchase of 8 acres of land adjacent to existing property and 40,000 square feet of new additions. The project is located on NYS Route 351 in the Town of Poestenkill.

Comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until October 4, 2001. The action involves the purchase of 15 acres of land adjacent to existing property and 20,000 square feet of new additions. The project is located on Gettle Road in the town of Sand Lake.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Montgomery County - The Planning Board of the Town of Florida, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Town of Florida Business Park. The action involves development and subdivision of MCIDA(Montgomery County Industrial Development Agency) land into five parcels of which three parcels will be developed for IBP permitted uses. The largest parcel of 314 acres is proposed to be developed as a regional distribuiton center by Kmart Corporation. The two other development parcels will be developed by MCIDA at some future time. The project is located on the north side of Route 5S, approximately two miles west of New York State Route 30 and Exit 27 of the New York State Thruway.
