Project Description: This Department has received a request to modify an existing permit and has drafted an Article 19 (Air Pollution Control) of the Environmental Conservation Law, an Air State Facility Permit, at the facility located at Alcoa-East Plant (Reynolds), 194 County Route 45, Massena, New York 13662, St. Lawrence County, which manufactures aluminum products, for emission unit E-WCST1. This project consists of the installation of an Alcan compact degassing (ACD) unit. The ACD will replace an existing degassing unit. The ACD will be located in the west cast house and will be associated with furnace #4. The draft permit with conditions is available for review in the Region 6 NYS DEC office in Watertown, New York. |
