Bronx County - The comment deadline for the New York Organic Fertilizer Co./ Sludge Pelletization Facility Title V permit application (DEC # 2-6007-00140/00011), noticed in the August 01, 2001, ENB has been extended to September 21, 2001.

Conditioned Negative Declaration

New York City County - The City Planning Commission, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed 500 West 56th Street will not have a significant adverse environmental impact provided specific conditions are met. There will be a 30-day public comment period commencing with the date of this notice. The action involves development for a 28-story, 330,000 to 350,000 square foot building containing approximately 306 dwelling units, approximately 299,000 gsf of residential area; 25,000 to 30,000 square feet of retail space above grade; 1,000 square feet of community facility space; a cellar containing an additional 25,000 to 30,000 square feet of retail area and/or accessory storage space; and an accessory parking garage for approximately 70 cars. The project is located on West 55th and West 56th Streets, located between Tenth and Eleventh Avenues, New York City.

New York City County - The City Planning Commission, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed 727 11th Avenue will not have a significant adverse environmental impact provided specific conditions are met. There will be a 30-day public comment period commencing with the date of this notice. The action involves demolishing the existing building and developing a 100,000 square foot studio building, consisting of 42,500 square feet of studio space and 57,500 square feet of studio offices. The project is located at 727 11th Avenue, New York, New York.

Negative Declaration

New York City County (Queens) - The New York City School Construction Authority, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Public School 244 - Queens will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves construction of a new 430-seat early childhood center. The proposed school would be built on an approximately 25,750 square foot vacant lot. The project is located on the south side of Franklin Avenue, midblock between Colden Street and Kissena Boulevard, Queens.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS And Public Hearing

New York City County - The City Planning Commission, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center Campus Rezoning. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2001, at 10:00 a.m. at Spector Hall, 22 Reade Street, New York, New York. Comments are requested on the DEIS and will be accepted until ten days after the close of the public hearing. The action involves an application by the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center to rezone the midblock area between East 66th and 69th Streets and York and First Avenues in Community District 8, Borough of Manhattan, from R8 to R 9 to designate the campus on these three blocks as Large Scale Community Facility Development. The action would result in the demolition of two buildings and replacement by a new 23-story research building containing approximately 519,400 square feet of zoning floor area. The building is expected to be approximately 440 feet high, including approximately 40 feet on the roof for mechanical space and stacks.
