New Notices for ENB Issue of September 5, 2001: 3

Village of Freeport - The Staff of the NYSDEC propose to modify the Title V air pollution control permit of the Village of Freeport Power Plant #2.

A hearing to receive unsworn statements from the public regarding the application will be held on October 22, 2001 at 7:30pm. A pre-adjudicatory issues conference will be held on October 23, 2001 at 10:00am. All filings for party status must be received no later than close of business (4:45pm) on October 15, 2001. Written statements may be filed prior to the start of the hearing. This is an extension of the original comment period, which was to have closed on September 5, 2001, but will now close on October 22, 2001.

PSEG Power New York Inc. proposes to construct and operate the Bethlehem Energy Center located on the site of an existing power generating facility, the Albany Steam Station, on State Route 144 in Glenmont, Town of Bethlehem, Albany County.

Legislative hearing session to receive unsworn statements from the public on the applications and the draft permits will be held on October 17, 2001 at 1:00pm and 7:00pm. A pre-adjudicatory hearing Issues Conference is scheduled to be held on October 23, 2001 at 10:00am. Filings for party status must be received by 3:00pm on October 17, 2001.

PSEG Power New York Inc. - Notice of Determination to Issue Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) Permit - The Applicant proposes to construct and operate the Bethlehem Energy Center located on the site of an existing power generating facility, the Albany Steam Station, on State Route 144 in Glenmont, Town of Bethlehem, Albany County.

DEC invites public comment regarding this tentative determination. Written comments will be received until October 22, 2001.
