The applicant proposes to develop a 1.3 acre site with a 290' x 140' residential apartment building and associated parking for 190 cars. The project is proposed within 6' of a NYSDEC regulated freshwater wetland known as Cedar Swamp Creek. The site is on Glen Street, Glen Cove.

The Department has made a tentative determination to approve the application for a permit to discharge 34,000 gallons per day (average) of laundromat process wastewater into groundwater from one outfall. The facility, Spin City Laundromat, is located at 1466 Straight Path Wyandanch, Babylon Town, Suffolk County. SPDES# NY 0266485. The proposed discharge is located within an area designated as a sole source aquifer. The following water purveyors have been identified as having service areas located within a 3 mile radius of the applicant's facility: Suffolk County Water Authority.

The applicant proposes to improve habitat quality at two of its man-made freshwater impoundments by chemically eradicating 36 acres of Phragmites, and subsequently eliminating dead canes by prescribed fire in the winter. This project has been classified as type II under SEQR as Phragmites eradication has been an on-going agency management practice within the impoundments, the agency having conducted several prescribed burns in the past. The project is located at Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge, T - Brookhaven, Suffolk County.

Applicant proposes to construct a single family dwelling, associated septic system, and driveway, clearing vegetation to within 50 feet of regulated freshwater wetlands. Project is located on South Fairview Avenue, Montauk.

The Department has made a tentative determination to approve the application for a permit to discharge 6,000 gallons per day car wash wastewater and 600 gallons per day sanitary wastewater into groundwater from two outfalls. The C & J Car Wash is located at 1731 New York Avenue, Huntington Station , Huntington Town, Suffolk County. SPDES # NY 0266451. The proposed discharge is located within an area designated as a sole source aquifer. The following water purveyors have been identified as having service areas located within a three mile radius of the applicant's facility: Suffolk County Water Authority; Greenlawn Water District; South Huntington Water District.

The applicant proposes to cut the existing dilapidated bulkhead at grade and remove it from the site, place 150 cubic yards of 200 to 500 pound stone along approximately 478 feet of the shoreline in the area extending 5 feet landward of apparent high water to 2 feet seaward of apparent low water, and remove the existing Phragmites and privet along the embankment. The area will be replanted with native shrubs and grasses. A 4 foot by 25 foot fixed catwalk with a 4 foot by 30 foot fixed "L" section to the north is proposed to be extended from the northern wall of the boat slip. Relocate the catwalk within the slip, and install a 5 foot by 15 foot access walk by placing 2.5 cubic yards of 20 to 50 pound stone adjacent to the southern wall of the slip. The project is located at 300 Maple St, Islip Town, SCTM #500-423-2-3 & 4.

The applicant proposes to construct a single family dwelling within the adjacent area of a NYS regulated Freshwater Wetland (#MT-41). The dwelling is proposed to be located within 80 feet of the freshwater wetland, with clearing/ground disturbance activities within 50 feet of the wetland. Since the project is located 175 feet west of Reeves Creek, a Tidal Wetlands permit is also being applied for.
