Project Name: Spring Cove Fish and Game Preserve, Inc.
Location: South of Railroad Avenue in the Town of Santa Clara
Comment Period Ends: September 13, 2001
Project Description: The action involves the relocation of existing hunting and fishing cabins from lands recently conveyed to the State of New York or lands subject to a conservation easement requiring their removal. A total of 12 cabins are to be relocated onto the project site, a 100 foot wide strip of land that was formerly a railroad. Seven of the cabins will require an Agency permit since they will be located within a recreational river area as established in the New York State Wild, Scenic and Recreational Rivers System Act (i.e., one-quarter mile of the St. Regis River). The remaining five cabins are located outside of this river area and are not subject to Agency review jurisdiction. All cabins are to be less than 500 square feet in size and will each be served by a sanitary pit privy. The cabins will only be used seasonally for hunting , fishing or similar purposes.
Washington County - The Village of Hudson Falls, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Local Law No.7 of 2001 - Amending Chapter 215-7 "Residence District Class B" will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves amending Chapter 215-7 of the Village Zoning Code to prohibit the conversion of an exiting structure or building into a multiple dwelling, apartment house, boarding house, lodging house, or hotel. The project is located in the Village of Hudson Falls.
