Albany County - The Guilderland Central School District Board of Education, as lead agency, has determined after a review of the Draft EIS and a 30 day public comment period that the proposed Farnsworth Middle School additions and alterations will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves construction of a two-story academic wing addition and one-story gymnasium addition onto the existing gymnasium complex, an extension of the music room and library facility at the Farnsworth Middle School. The project is located at 6072 State Farm Road, Guilderland.

Rensselaer County - The Town of Stephentown Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed construction of a wireless communication tower-monopole may have a significant adverse environmental impact and a draft EIS must be prepared. The action involves the construction of a 190 foot monopole communications tower with appurtenances not to exceed 199 feet. The site of the proposed tower is located 750 feet off Losty Road in the South West corner of the Senter property. The proposed tower is to be enclosed by a 80 by 80 foot fenced compound area serviced by an existing 15 foot wide gravel access road originating at Southard Road, which will be graded and repaired. A new road will also be constructed from the end of Losty Road to the proposed site. The proposed construction will require the installation of new utility poles along the access road to deliver power and telephone lines.

|Notice of Acceptance of Draft Generic EIS and Public Hearing|
Rensselaer County - The City of Troy Planning Commission, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Generic EIS on the proposed Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies Building and Related South Campus Improvements. A Public Hearing on the Draft Generic EIS will be held on September 11, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at the Troy City Hall. Comments on the Draft Generic EIS will be accepted by the contact person until September 24, 2001. The action involves the construction of a Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies Building, a Performing Arts Center, an approximately 500 car parking garage, replacement chiller, new boiler plant, and a new electrical substation on the campus of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy.

The comment deadline for the PSEG/Albany Steam Station Title V permit application (DEC # 4-0122-00044/00014), noticed in the August 22, 2001, ENB has been extended to October 1, 2001.
