The applicant proposes to develop and operate a new 2.2 acre unconsolidated sand and gravel pit using mechanized equipment and methods standard for the surface extraction of these materials. On-site processing will include screening at a rate not to exceed 150 tons per hour. The Life of Mine area is 2.2 acres. Material will be mined from above grade only, no mining will occur below the water table. The mine is located on Kelsey Road in the Town of Batavia. Reclamation will return the site to green space. This project is a part of the remediation effort for the old Batavia Landfill. Application materials are available for public review and comment at the Regional Office of NYS DEC.

The applicant has applied for an Article 15 Stream Disturbance permit to replace the culvert which conveys Bradner Creek under McNinch Road. The existing 60" culvert will be replaced with two 60" culverts to accommodate greater flow volumes. Approximately 490 cubic yards of deposited bed material will be removed from approximately 700' of the stream bed. The stream bed will be shaped into a "V" shape, and one culvert will be placed at a lower elevation, to accommodate low flow volumes. The applicant proposes to develop a commercial / retail floor covering and hardwood floor outlet on property owned by the applicant in the town of Victor. The project site is a +/-3 acre parcel, on the south side of NYS Route 96, approximately 1300 ft. south east of the Route 251 intersection. The development will include construction of a +/- 18,000 sq.ft. building, truck docking area, 39 parking spaces and a stormwater management pond. Construction will require disturbance and conversion in a portion of the adjacent area of NYS regulated wetland VT-2, and filling of a minimal amount of federal wetland located within the adjacent area.

The Town has submitted an application for a new wastewater treatment plant to serve the Hamlet of Troupsburg. The project will serve 221 people in addition to the school, and 2.8 miles of collector sewer will be constructed. The treatment plant will be located on Town property on the south side of the Hamlet with a discharge of treated wastewater to Troups Creek. A draft permit showing the enforceable effluent limitations is available for review.

Materials will be processed using screening and crushing at a rate that will not exceed 150 TPH. The Life of Mine area is 8.8 acres. The mine is located on property owned by the Town of Jerusalem on Guyanoga Road, south of the intersection with Back Road, in the Town of Jerusalem. The area has been previously used by the Town for mining and stockpiling of material for road construction.
