Project Description: The applicant proposes to construct and operate a yard waste management facility on 19 acres at a site south of Mile Strip Road and west of Baker Road. Leaves and grass will be composted using a turned windrow method, while wood chips and brush will be processed through a tub grinder and converted to a beneficial product (compost and wood chips) that will be available to residents and local businesses. An 8 inch water line from Mile Strip Road to service the site will be constructed through the adjacent area of New York State Freshwater Wetland OP-8. |

The project is located within an existing marina area on the East Branch of Twelvemile Creek in Wilson Harbor. |
