Revised Notice of Public Hearing

Albany County - The public hearing regarding the proposed land acquisition and construction of a New Middle School for the Albany City School District, SED Project No. 01-01-00-01-0-061-001, to be held at 7:00 p.m. in the Albany High School, Northeast Cafeteria on August 2, 2001 has been rescheduled to August 6, 2001. The time and location remain unchanged. The purpose of the public hearing will be to hear concerns relative to potential environmental impacts from the proposed project on this site in accordance with the DEC State Environmental Quality Review Regulations 6 NYCRR 617.9(4)(i). Accordingly, the public comment period for this project is extended from August 13, 2001 to August 16, 2001. The action involves the purchase of 3.37 acres of land and 141,285 square feet of new construction. The project is located at Westland Hills Park, in the City of Albany.

Negative Declaration

Rensselaer, Columbia, Dutchess, Putnam and Westchester Counties - The New York State Department of Transportation, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Fiber Optic Cable Installation Route's 22 and I684 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves installation of up to twelve (12) new telecommunication fiber optic cable innerducts. The project is located between the Town of Stephentown, Rensselaer County and the Town of Harrison, Westchester County.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Montgomery County - The Town of Florida, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Development of the Florida Business Park. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on August 14, 2001 at 7:30 p.m. at the Town of Florida Town Hall, 167 Fort Hunter Road, Amsterdam, New York. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until August 24, 2001. The action involves the subdivision of 620 acres of land into 5 lots of which 3 will be developed for various uses within the Industrial Business Park zoning, including a 314 acre parcel for use as a Kmartís Regional Distribution Center. The other two developable parcels will be developed by MCIDA at some future time. The Business Park is located on the north side of NYS Route 5S approximately two miles west of Route 30 in the Town of Florida, Montgomery County.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS

Albany County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft EIS on the proposed land acquisition and construction of a new elementary school "PSES A" for the Albany City School District, SED Project No. 01-01-00-01-0-056-001. Comments are requested on the Draft EIS and will be accepted by the contact person until August 20, 2001. The action involves the purchase of 0.4 acres of land and 59,000 square feet of new construction. The project is located at 666 Clinton Avenue, in the City of Albany.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Albany County - The Guilderland Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Town of Guilderland Comprehensive Plan 2000. The action will require that all future town land use regulations be in accordance with the Town of Guilderland Comprehensive Plan 2000 and that all other governmental agencies with capital project proposals occurring on lands within the Town must take the Comprehensive Plan into consideration. The project is located entirely in the Town of Guilderland.
