Rensselaer, Columbia, Dutchess, Putnam and Westchester Counties - The New York State Department of Transportation, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Fiber Optic Cable Installation along Routes 22 and I684 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves installation of up to twelve (12) new telecommunication fiber optic cable innerducts. The project is located between the Town of Stephentown, Rensselaer County and the Town of Harrison, Westchester County.

Westchester County - The Board of Trustees of the Village of Dobbs Ferry, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Lion's Ridge Proposed Residential Development, Villages of Dobbs Ferry/Hastings on Hudson, New York may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves development of approximately 7.5 acres straddling the Village of Dobbs Ferry/Village of Hastings boundary with a residential subdivision of one and two family homes totaling 38 units, construction of a new road and extension of utility service lines. Note: The proposed project is a Type I Action under the Dobbs Ferry Village Code since the site includes one or more features defined therein as “environmentally sensitive”. The project is located at Ogden and Stanley Avenues/Dobbs Ferry.

|Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS|
Putnam County - The Planning Board of the Town of Putnam Valley, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Strawberry Knoll Subdivision. The date of the Public Hearing has not been established by the lead agency. Comments on the Draft EIS are requested and will be accepted by the contact person until 10 days following the close of the Public Hearing. The action involves subdivision approval for a 15 lot single family residential conventional subdivision on a 66 acre parcel of land. The project is located on the west side of Mill Street, near its intersection with Lovers Lane, in the Town of Putnam Valley, New York.

|Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing|
Westchester County - The Board of Appeals on Zoning of the City of New Rochelle, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Young Israel of New Rochelle. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on September 24, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at City of New Rochelle City Hall, 515 North Avenue, New Rochelle, New York. Written comment period ends within 10 days of the close of the public hearing. The action involves the construction of an approximately 36,885 gross square foot Orthodox Synagogue on an approximately 0.80-acre site. The project is located at 1149 North Avenue, New Rochelle, New York.

Westchester County - The Planning Board, of the Town of Cortlandt, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Planned Residential Community known as Valeria. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on September 11, 2001 at 8:00 p.m. at the Vincent F. Nyberg General Meeting Room, Cortlandt Town Hall, 1 Heady Street, Cortlandt Manor, New York. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until September 24, 2001. The action is for a 253 lot, open space subdivision and proposed roads, utilities and other proposed related site improvements on 731 acres. The project is located on the east and west side of Furnace Dock Road and on the south side of Sniffen Mountain Road.

Orange County - The Orange County Legislature, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Enhancements to the Harriman WWTP. The action involves new treatment facilities within the existing plant property, new odor controls, upgrades to the existing treatment plan facilities. The project is located at One Harriman Drive, Harriman, New York.
