Suffolk County - The Town of Riverhead Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Special permit of William Dries and Anthony Specchio will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of two restaurants totalling 538 seats on a 4.2 acre parcel zoned Industrial A. The project is located on the south side of Old Country Road (CR 58), approximately 1,800 feet west of Kroemer Avenue, Riverhead.

Suffolk County - The Town of Southampton Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed National Development Corporation will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of two (2) 15,048 sq. ft. buildings to be used for general and special trade contractors with associated site improvements. The project is an undeveloped 2.788 acre parcel and is located within the Light Industry Zoning District. The project is located at the western end of Leecon Court, approximately 1.084 feet west of Magee Street, Tuckahow, Town of Southampton.

Nassau County - The Village of North Hills Board of Trustees, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Buckley Country Day School applications for special permit for use of property for athletic field and related amenities, and for waiver of site plan approval requirements may have a significant adverse environmental impact and a draft EIS must be prepared. The action involves applications for a special use permit to change the use of property from residential to educational (athletic fields and amenities) and for waiver of requirements for site plan approval. The project is loated on I.U. Willets Road, North Hills.

|Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing|
Suffolk County - The Town Board of the Town of Brookhaven, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft EIS on the proposed Town of Brookhaven Cell 6 Landfill Expansion. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on August 7, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at Town Offices, Auditorium, Building 4, 3233 Route 112, Medford, NY 11763. The action involves the development of a new lined landfill cell within the property boundaries of the Town of Brookhaven's 534 acre Waste Management Facility Site. The new landfill cell will be located between, and to the north of, the existing landfill Cell 5 and previously landfilled areas in Cells 1-4. The new cell will include 147 acres of fill area plus 36 acres of ancillary facilities, and will provide landfill capacity for the Town for an additional 17.9 years. The project is located on Horseblock Road, Town of Brookhaven.
