Applicant proposes to remove failing gabion baskets along approximately 30 feet of Fox Creek, a Class C (t) stream, and place approximately 250 linear feet of rip-rap along the stream bank. Project is located immediately south and east of the Kaehler Lane bridge.

The Department has made a tentative decision to modify the existing State Pollutant Discharge Elimination Sytem (SPDES) permit for the discharge of a varying amount of wastewater into two unnamed tributaries (Class C), Mosher Brook (Class C) and Coeymans Creek (Class C(TS)) as follows: The temperature limit for Outfall 003 will be modified to allow the discharge temperature to match the Coeymans Creek background temperature. A new Total Suspended Solids (TSS) limit of 30mg/l will be set based on discharge data which will replace the calculated categorical limit. The use of groundwater as temperature control water will be authorized. The TSS limit at Outfall 007 will now be a net limit which requires the monitoring of TSS upstream of the landfill operations and the BMP compliance schedule will be elimated based on the completion of the plan. The Blue Circle Cement facility is located on Route 9W in thhe Town of Coeymans. A draft permit is available for inspection at the NYSDEC Region 4 Office. SPDES #NY-0005037

     The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has received an application to re-issue the following EPA minor Private/Commercial/Institutional State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (P/C/I SPDES) permit. DEC has made a tentative determination to re-issue this permit for a five-year period, maintaining the current effluent limitations and monitoring and reporting requirements. This permit involves the surface discharge of 4,800 gallons per day of treated sanitary waste to the Roeliff Jansen Kill/Brook Tributary.

The applicant proposes to operate a 4.96 acre life-of-mine bluestone mine of which 2.50 acres is proposed to be affected during the initial permit term. Bluestone will be excavated using drilling and blasting and the mechanical cutting of stone. Material will be moved to storage areas for separation and sorting. No other processing of stone material on-site is proposed. Reclamation of mine area will consist of the property reverting to the previous land use of agricultural/pasture land. The project is located off Gosper Road 0.59 miles from NYS Rte. 206 and Gosper Road intersection.

The applicant proposes to maintain and repair an existing farm crossing in Schoharie Creek and within Freshwater Wetland K-10 using gravel, and also to skim a 45' wide by 75' long gravel bar within the creek downstream of the crossing. The project is located off County Route 16 opposite Byrne Road, approximately 0.75 miles west of Platte Clove.

The applicant proposes to construct a 5' x 48' dock on Otsego Lake within Freshwater Wetland CP-30, and to clear debris and vegetation on the landward side of the dock for approximately 30 ' along the shoreline to allow for access to the dock. The project is located at 46 Lake Street, Cooperstown.

The applicant has applied for a modification to an existing solid waste management permit, which requests approval to operate the facility with the doors open. No other changes to the operation are proposed. The facility is located at the intersection of Route 351 and Route 66 in the Town of Poestenkill, Rensselaer County.
