The applicant requests the above permits in conjunction with the proposed mining of approximately 265,000 cubic yards of sand and gravel. The mine, as proposed, will affect a total of 9.4 acres of which 5.4 acres will be excavated to create a pond. The access road to the mine involves renovating an existing farm road which crosses Freshwater Wetland VB-16 (Class II) and the 100 foot adjacent area. Proposed improvements include the construction of a new bridge and widening of the roadway which involves the filling of approximately 3,150 square feet of wetland. The mine site is located approximately one half mile west of the intersection of Clove Valley Road (County Route 9) and Mack Road.
