The applicant proposes to construct a single family dwelling within the adjacent area of a NYS regulated Freshwater Wetland (#P-6) on Lot 1 of a proposed 4 lot subdivision. The dwelling is proposed to be located within 76 feet of the freshwater wetland, with clearing/ground disturbance activities within 58 feet of the wetland. Applicant proposes to reconstruct in-place 4,515 feet of bulkhead with vinly sheathing, construct a new 30' bulkhead return, maintenance dredge portions of the marina to -6 Average Low Water, and recover 3,000 cubic yards of material . Approximately 1,000 cubic yards of material will be utilized as fill landward of the bulkhead replacement.and 250 cubic yards will be used for beach nourishment located on the south west portion of the marina. The remainder of the dredged material will be taken off site to an approved upland location. The property is located on Fire Island, Atlantique, Town of Islip.
