The Department has drafted a State Facility Permit pursuant to Article 19 (Air Pollution Control) of the NYS Environmental Conservation Law (ECL) and has made a tentative determination to approve an application for modifications at the Trigen-Syracuse Energy facility located in Solvay, NY. The proposed permit modification authorizes the modification of boilers #3, #4 and #5 for to allow for co-firing of coal and alternative fuel fluff at a rate not to exceed 30% of the daily total fuel fired at the facility. The proposed modifications will result in combustion of a cleaner burning fuel and therefore qualifies as a pollution control project pursuant to Federal Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) regulations codified in 40 CFR 52.21. In addition, the project is not subject to the Federal New Source Performance Standards, since there will not be an increase of any regulated pollutants. Onondaga County - The Town of LaFayette, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Adoption by the Town of LaFayette of an Ordinance, which Ordinance regulates Horse Stables within the Town of LaFayette will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. |Notice of Acceptance of Draft Generic EIS and Public Hearing|
Onondaga County - The Marcellus Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Generic EIS on the proposed Town of Marcellus-2001 Comprehensive Plan. A public hearing on the Draft Generic EIS will be held on August 20, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at Marcellus Fire Hall, 4242 Slate Hill Road, Marcellus, New York. The public comment period ends on September 20, 2001. The project involves the adoption of a Comprehensive Plan and Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement to address environmental, social and economical factors affected by future development in the Town of Marcellus.
