The cabins will not have any kitchen or bathroom facilities. The project also involves construction of a horse barn and a garage/shop. The applicants propose to operate year-round, seven days a week. The project site is an 82.85 acre parcel of property located just east of Bryant Siding Road. Ragged Lake Outlet a permanent stream flows through the southwest corner of the site. There are wetlands on the site along Ragged Lake Outlet.

The timber and gravel staircase will stabilize the embankment to the shoreline of the river.

Project Name: Cold River Properties, Inc.

Location: Town of Stony Creek, north side of Lens Lake Road and the south shoreline of Lens Lake.

Project Description: The project consists of the construction of a 2,032 square foot "log style" four bedroom single family dwelling setback approximately 300 feet from the mean high water mark (MHWM) of Lens Lake at its closest point. The dwelling will have a porch on each of the north and south elevations approximately 8 ft. wide by 50 ft. long and it will be served by an individual on-site wastewater treatment system and well. The dwelling will have a full basement under the living space to accommodate two vehicles and a 28 ft. by 29 ft. loft area above the bedrooms. The project includes construction of a 10 ft. by 20 ft. one story boat storage building that will be located at a minimum 100 feet from the MHWM of Lens Lake. Limits of clearing are shown on the proposed site plan map and there will be no vegetative cutting within 220 feet of the MHWM mark of Lens Lake, with the exception of a small area located greater than 100 feet from the MHWM of Lens Lake to provide for construction of the proposed boat storage shed. Access to Lens lake will be over an existing footpath.

Public Hearing

APA Project 2000-269 [J&D Marina, LLC]

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to section 809(3) of the Adirondack Park Agency Act (Executive Law, Article 27) and 9 NYCRR Part 580 that the Adirondack Park Agency will hold a public hearing on the application of J&D Marina, LLC seeking approval for a Class B regional project consisting of a greater than 25 percent expansion of an existing boat storage facility. The existing boat storage facility is a 6,000 square foot structure authorized by Agency permit 87-315 issued on January 8, 1988. The applicant proposes to add 5,000 square feet of storage space to the existing structure to for winter storage of approximately 20 additional boats. The project site is a 17-acre parcel on the east side of NYS Route 9L in the Town of Queensbury, Warren County, and Fort Ann, Washington County in an area classified Rural Use on the Official Adirondack Park Land Use and Development Plan Map. All proposed new construction would take place in the Fort Ann portion of the property. Access to the boat storage facility would remain through a private right-of-way from Barthel Road in Fort Ann.

The hearing will commence at 10 am on Tuesday, July 31, 2001 at the Town of Fort Ann Town Hall, 80 George Street, Fort Ann, NY, beginning with a pre-hearing conference. Issues likely to be addressed at the hearing are potential adverse impacts on neighboring properties (noise, traffic), compatibility with nearby residential uses, aesthetics, and compliance with the terms and conditions of Permit 87-335.

Any person may speak at or submit a written statement prior to or during the hearing; all letters received to date and any new letters will be offered as hearing exhibits pursuant to 9 NYCRR 580.14(g)(2)(iv) and will be transmitted to Agency Members as part of the hearing record. Landowners within 500 feet of the project site may participate as parties by right and may present evidence and cross-examine witnesses. Any other person who desires to become a party to the hearing must comply with the procedure set forth in section 580.7 of Agency regulations. Pursuant to section 301(2) of the State Administrative Procedures Act, interpreter services will be made available to deaf persons at no charge upon written request to the Agency within a reasonable time prior to the hearing.

The application is available for public inspection and copying during normal business hours at the Agency office, New York State Route 86, Ray Brook, NY. Negative Declaration

Fulton County - The Gloversville-Johnstown Joint Sewer Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Aeration System Improvements will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves retrofitting of existing aeration system, replacement of ceramic diffusers, blower, controls, gate valves, and leachate handling improvements. The project is located in the Town of Johnstown.

Hamilton County - The Hamilton County Board of Supervisors, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed access and parking renovations will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the relocation of site access to the Hamilton County Office Building Complex, remove two existing access roads, resurface and expand parking lots. The project is located at the intersection of NYS Route 8 and the South Shore Road, in the Town of Lake Pleasant.

Notice of Acceptance of Final Generic EIS

Saratoga County - The Halfmoon Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Generic EIS on the proposed North Halfmoon future development study. The action involves local approvals (site plan review, special permit, etc) for future development within the designated study area identified as North Halfmoon. The intent of preparing the GEIS is to evaluate the cumulative impacts associated with projected development over a 20-year planning period. The project is located in the northern portion of the Town of Halfmoon, bounded on the west by the Town of Clifton Park, on the east by the City of Mechanicville, on the north by the towns of Malta and Stillwater, and on the south by Farm to Market Road, Anthony Road, Vosburgh Road, Route 146 and properties adjacent to these roads.
