Negative Declaration

Clinton County - The Town of Plattsburgh, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Town of Plattsburgh - Base Water District will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves construction of new water mains and appurtenances. The District bounds include all of the former Plattsburgh Air Force Base, Town of Plattsburgh.

Clinton County - The Town of Plattsburgh, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Pleasant Ridge Water District will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves creation proceedings and related construction of new water mains and appurtenances (hydrants, valves, water services, etc.). Pleasant Ridge Water District includes the area generally bounded by the Saranac River to the north, I-87 to the east, the Town line to the west and Irish Settlement Road to the south.

Franklin County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Legacy Pit (Sand & Gravel) will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves development of a 9.9 acre life-of-mine sand and gravel pit on the Legacy Farm. Approximately 60,000 cubic yards of material will be removed over an estimated 5 year period. On-site processing and stockpiling of materials will take place. Upon completion of mining, the site will be reclaimed so as to allow resumption of agricultural use and production. The parcel is part of Franklin County Agricultural District No. 6.
