Dutchess County - The New York State Department of Corrections (“DOC”), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Shared Resource Public Safety and Wireless Communications Facility shall not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the installation of a 180-foot tall, multi-user, multi-purpose lattice tower. The facility will support in the near-term future the communications equipment of State and local public safety agencies. The facility will also support the ancillary antennas of Nextel Partners, Inc., Independent Wireless One Corporation and Verizon Wireless, together with related equipment in the shelter at the base thereof. The top of the facility will be reserved for the equipment of State and local public safety agencies. The project is located at the Fishkill Correctional Facility (also known as the New York State Matteawan State Hospital) in the Town of Fishkill.

Orange County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as lead agency, has determined that proposed construction/rehabilitation projects to improve the following facilities at the U.S. Military Academy (USMA) at West Point will not have a significant adverse environmental impact: 1) Michie Stadium Athletic Complex; 2) Hoffman Press Box; 3) Cadet Crew and Sailing Center; and 4) Arvin Cadet Physical Development Center. The action involves multiple improvements to Michie Stadium Athletic Complex including Stony Lonesome Road by-pass; demolition and replacement of Hoffman Press Box; new Cadet Crew and Sailing Center; and partial demolition and expanded new facilities at Arvin Cadet Physical Development Center. Notice of Completion for DEC permit application related to these activities was published in the July 4, 2001 ENB. |Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS|
Westchester County - The City of Mount Vernon Industrial Development Agency, as lead agency, has accepted a Final EIS on the proposed Liberty Plaza Senior Campus. The action involves the development of a 120 unit senior independent living facility with a capacity of approximately 140 residents. The project is located between North 6th and 7th Avenues, City of Mount Vernon.
