Project Description: The Applicant proposes to subdivide an existing parcel approximately 17.6 acres in area located in the Village of Dering Harbor. It is bounded on the west by Locust Point Road and on the east by Manhasset Road. Two new parcels would be created, the larger measuring approximately 13.6 acres and the smaller approximately 4 acres. The proposed 13.6 acre lot would be deeded to Suffolk County, the Town of Shelter Island, and the Village of Dering Harbor as part of the Unified Open Space Program. The proposed 4 acre lot would be located on the corner of Locust Point Road and South Street and is bordered to the northeast by two single family dwellings.
