Negative Declaration

New York City (Bronx) County - The City of New York, Department of Housing Preservation and Development, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Underhill/Bolton, CEQR No. 01HPD008X, will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of 110 dwelling units of affordable housing for families on city-owned land in 2-story row houses. There are 55 on-site parking garages with one located in each house. The project is located on Bolton, Underhill and Leland Avenues between Seward and Randall, Bronx, New York.

New York City County - The City of New York, Department of Housing Preservation and Development, as lead agency, has determined that the Cooper Square Urban Renewal Plan, 2nd Amendment, CEQR No. 00HPD003M, will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of up to 713 units of housing in 7-to-14 story buildings. Also involved is the construction of up to 175,000 square feet of retail commercial and a net increase for up to 64,118 square feet, totaling 240,000 square feet. In addition, up to 225 on-site parking spaces to serve the residential and commercial/community facility uses. The project is located on East 5th Street on the north, Second Avenue and Chrystie Street on the east, Stanton Street on the south, and the Bowery on the west.

New York City County - The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York, as lead agency, has determined that the New School University Insured Revenue Bonds, Series 2001 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves DASNY's issuance of an amount not to exceed $25,000,000 of Dormirory Authority obligations on behalf of New School University. The proceeds of the tax-exempt bond issuance will be used to finance the proposed project, which consists of the acquisition of a 7-story, 34,100 gross square foot building which will be renovated into a 184-bed residence hall for the New School University. The project is located at 118 West 13th Street, New York, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

New York City County - The U.S. General Service Administration, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed United States Mission to the United Nations. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2001, at 7:00 p.m. at New York University Medical College, Classroom A, 550 First Avenue (between 31st and 32nd Streets) New York, New York. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until Friday, July 13, 2001. The action involves the demolition of the federal building currently housing the USUN and the subsequent construction of a new facility on the same site. The project is located at 799 United Nations Plaza on the southwest Corner of First Avenue and East 45th Street.
