Erie County - The Planning Board of the Town of Amherst, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Research and Development Park will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The project involves development of a 4 lot research and development park on an 11 acre vacant parcel of land located in the Research-Development (RD) zoning district. The project is located at 4080 Rensch Road, Amherst, New York.

Erie County - The Town Board of the Town of Amherst, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Secondary Access - Open Development Area will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The project involves construction of a secondary access to serve a 45,000 sq. ft. office building development in an Open Development Area (no public road frontage) on property located at 4391 Maple Road, Amherst, NY. The property proposed for development measures 6.0± acres and is located on the westerly boundary of the area known as the “Golden Triangle” bounded on the north by Maple Road, on the east by Millersport Highway and on the west by the former Lehigh Valley Railroad right-of-way.

Erie County - The Town Board of the Town of Amherst, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendment to Allow Training Schools in the Research-Development (RD) Zoning District will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The project involves amending Section 203-6-1 of the Town Zoning Ordinance to allow training schools in the Research-Development (RD) zoning district as permitted uses in order to provide educational opportunities to train the work force and thereby meet the employment needs of town businesses. The project is located in all RD zones in the Town of Amherst.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS

Erie County - The Town Board of the Town of Newstead, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Adoption of the Town of Newstead and Village of Akron Comprehensive Plan. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until June 29, 2001. The action involves the adoption of the Comprehensive Plan by the Town of Newstead and Village of Akron; this action is pursuant to Town Law Sections 72-a and 284 and Village Law Sections 7-722 and 7-741. The project is located in the Town of Newstead and Village of Akron.
