Negative Declaration

Bronx County - The New York State Dormitory Authority, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Jacobi Medical Center 339-Bed Replacement Hospital Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the design, development and constructio of a new, 339-bed replacement hospital to replace and/or upgrade campus structures to make for a more consolidated, more modern, and more competitive facility. The project is located at 1400 Pelham Parkway South in the borough of the Bronx.

New York City (Manhattan County) - The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Positively Third Street will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the new construction of an eight story building for low-income housing for the elderly under the HUD Section 202 Supportive Housing Program. The project is located in Manhattan, Community Board #3.

Conditioned Negative Declaration

New York City (Queens) County - The New York City School Construction Authority, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Intermediate School 5 Addition will not have a significant adverse environmental impact provided specific conditions are met. There will be a 30 day public comment period commencing with the date of this notice. The action involves the construction of a new 630-seat addition to Intermediate School 5 in the Elmhurst Section of Queens. The school and its grounds contain a total of approximately 2.30 acres, and are bounded by Jacobus Street to the east, 51st Avenue to the south, and Kneeland Street to the northwest (Block 2450, Lot 17). The project site currently contains the 1,369-seat school building and its playground areas. The proposed four-story addition would be built on an approximately 10,000 square foot portion of school grounds currently used as a sitting area.

New York City (Manhattan) - The New York City Board of Standards and Appeals, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed New York University School of Medicine Research Building will not have a significant adverse environmental impact provided specific conditions are met. There will be a 30 day public comment period commencing with the date of this notice. The action involves an application for a BSA variance pursuant to Z.R. 72-21 to permit, in an R8 zoning district, the proposed construction of a 16-story, approximately 180,000 square foot New York University School of Medicine Research Building. The project is located at 550 First Avenue, Block 962, Lot 8, Manhattan.

The conditions are:

  1. First Avenue & East 26th Street: During the AM peak period, reallocate one second of green time from the northbound phase to the shared east- and westbound phase.
  2. First Avenue & East 30th Street: During the AM peak period, reallocate one second of green time from the northbound phase to the eastbound phase.
  3. Second Avenue & East 30th Street: During the AM and midday peak periods, reallocate one second of green time from the southbound phase to the eastbound phase.
