Project Description: The applicant proposes to expand their Poland Plant sand and gravel mining operation. The Life of Mine Boundary would increase from 165.0 acres to 176.3 acres. New acreage to be affected during the permit term includes this 11.3 acre area along the Westerly property boundary. Topsoil and overburden will be stockpiled on-site and stabilized. Material will be excavated by front-end loader and transported to the processing plant via conveyor belt. The project is located approximately one mile Northwest of the Village of Poland and 2500 feet North of Route 28 in the Town of Russia, Herkimer County.
