The permittee has requested a modification to their existing wastewater permit for the facility at Sunny Sol Blvd. in the Village of Caledonia. The current sulfate enforceable limit will be changed to a monitor only requirement in consideration of the fact that the sulfate is present in the intake water and that the discharge is to the same aquifer. The chemical 1,2-cis-Dichloroethylene has now been added as a permit limit due to its presence in the site groundwater. The permit includes implementation of a Best Management Practices plan. A draft permit is available for review.

The applicant proposes to construct a +/-300 sq, ft. open framed wood deck at his property in the adjacent area of the Braddocks Bay wetland. The project site is17 Bayview Dr., approximately 500 ft. north of the State Rt. 261 intersection. The deck will be constructed of pressure treated boards and posts, and will be attached to the Clark residence. Bayview Drive is an established residential neighborhood and the project will have a minimal impact on wetland habitat and function. There will be no direct loss of wetland.

Project Description:

The applicant proposes to expand their landfill operation by placing waste in an area between the exisiting and operating Western Expansion Landfill and the closed High Acres site. The proposed new fill is call ed the Parkway Expansion Phase 1 site, and will cover up to 54 acres 32 acres of which partly overlies the Western Expansion Landfill and 14 acres partly over the High Acres Landfill. The new site will have a life of five to six years based on a waste flow to the site of 3500 tons per day. The completed site will be 150 feet above existing ground elevation, and up to 5,401,000 bank ( in place ) cubic yards will be disposed of at the site. Leachate generated from the waste mass will flow by public sewer to ultimately received treatment at the F Van Lare wastewater treatment plant. A supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement was prepared to address impact to sewers, truck traffic, aesthetics, seagulls and vectors, quality of life, end use, soil borrow areas and water resources. the existing operation has been in compliance and it is the intent of the NYSDEC to issue the proposed permit. the site is located north of the NYS Barge Canal south of Perinton Parkway and west of the Macedon/Perinton town line.

The NYS DEC, as applicant, proposes to substantially repair and improve an existing access lane servicing the Quinn Oaks Openings State Land. The access lane adjoins State Route 15 and traverses NYS DEC regulated Freshwater Wetland RU-30 (Class II) to the east. The project involves the resurfacing of the existing lane with stone cobbles, and the upgrade replacement of an existing culvert in Tributary 30 (Class C) of the Genesee River. The purpose of the project is to provide safer access for equipment needed to manage and restore the State Land's ecosystem. The applicant proposes to construct an open water pond on his property in the adjacent area of NYS regulated wetland SW-44. The project site is at 6275 Redman Road, approximately .25 miles north of the LaDue Road intersection. The pond will be an estimated 100 ft. X 200 ft, and will vary in depth from 0 ft., to a maximum of 10 ft. Material excavated during construction of the pond will be used on site for future development of the property, outside of of the wetland and adjacent area. No excess soil will be left in the regulated area. Re-growth of existing vegetation will be maintained only on the south side of the pond.

The Department has proposed to construct the Naples Creek Aquatic Habitat Restoration Project in the Town of Naples, Ontario County. The project consists of installing : rock rip-rap bank stabilization, stream barbs, rock weirs, and shoal shaping. Additionally repair will be done to timber crib stabilization structures, timber bed sills. Approximately 400 feet of bio technical bank stabilization measures will be used. The project consists of 43 sites from north of the Village of Naples to south of Middlesex Rd. immediately south of the Village of Naples.
