Project Description:

The applicant proposes a two acre life-of-mine operation, with screening on site. The mine will be used exclusively for the extraction of sand, approximately 43,000 cubic yards, for closure of the adjacent Town of Crown Point Landfill. Truck traffic will not leave the site. All storm waters will be contained on site. The slopes will be graded to 25% and reclamation will include placing top soil, and applying grass seed, lime, fertilizer and mulch.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination: Project is not subject to SEQR because it is a Type II action.
SEQR Lead Agency: None Designated
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination: Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.
Coastal Management: This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
Opportunity for Public Comment: Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contact Person no later than Jun 15 2001.

Project Description:

As part of the Warren County Sewer Project, Town of Hague proposes construction of a new wastewater treatment plant and collection system to serve the Hamlet of Hague (Sewer District #1). The plant (on Decker Hill Road near Armstrong Road) will include sequence batch reactors, upflow sand filters, infiltration basins, sludge digesters and sludge drying beds, with proposed discharge of up to 86,650 gallons per day sanitary waste to groundwater. The Department has made a tentative determination to approve the SPDES application; a draft permit is available for review. The project includes a pump station on Dodd Hill Rd. near Rt. 9N, and installation of sewer mains throughout the hamlet.

Project Description:

The applicant proposes a 4.9 acre sand and gravel mine on a 22.27 acre parcel. The material mined at this site will be removed directly to its intended use area. This will be used in the construction effort to rebuild State Route 149 (NYS DOT project # D258635). The material will be used in its native form and there will be no on site processing. All material will be excavated using a tracked backhoe, haul trucks will be used to transport the material an approximate 1000 feet to the location of road construction.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination: Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was performed.
