Negative Declaration

Suffolk County - The Town of Southampton Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed adoption of Local Law No. 17 of 2001 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the adoption to amend Chapter 292-39B to replace the existing wetland preservation standards with wetland standards consistent with the provision of Chapter 325. The project is located in the Town of Southampton.

Positive Declaration

Nassau County - The Town of North Hempstead Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Mount Olive Town Homes Project may have a significant adverse environmental impact and a draft EIS must be prepared. The action involves rezoning from single family residential to multiple residence district for the construction of 51 housing units, a community room for the residents, and associated parking. The project is located in the southwest intersection of Community Drive and High Street, North Hempstead.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft Supplemental EIS and Public Hearing

Suffolk County - The Town of Riverhead Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Supplemental EIS on the proposed North Fork Knolls (Alvin Benjamin), Special Project. A public hearing on the Draft Supplemental EIS will be held on May 16, 2001 at 3:00 p.m. at Riverhead Town Hall, Meeting Room, 200 Howell Avenue, Riverhead. Comments on the Draft Supplemental EIS are requested and will be accepted by the contact person until May 30, 2001. The action involves the construction of 296 unit senior citizen rental and condominium community together with associated site improvements including an on site sewage treatment plant on a 78.4 acre parcel zoned Business "A". The project is located on the westside of Cross River Drive (CR 105) north of Sawmill Creek, Riverhead.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Suffolk County - The Town of Riverhead Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft EIS on the proposed Aquebogue Golf Resorts. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on May 17, 2001 at 3:00 p.m. at Riverhead Town Hall, Meeting Room, 200 Howell Avenue, Riverhead. Comments on the Draft EIS are requested and will be accepted by the contact person until May 30, 2001. The action involves the subdivision of a total of 185.789 acres into 5 separate lots and zoned Residence "A" and Agriculture "A" into 161 single and separate parcels of from 40,010 sq. ft. to 174,248 sq. ft. based on straight grid yield. The project is located southeast and southwest corners of the intersection of Northville Turnpike (CR 43) and Cross River Drive (CR 105), also lying between Cross River Dirve, Northville Turnpike and Sound Avenue, also south of Sound Avenue east of Long Island National Golf Course and lastly at the south end (land locked) of the golf course, Aquebogue, Riverhead.
