Project Description:

The applicant proposes to stabilize approximately 300 lineal feet of eroding riverbank along the Boquet River on property owned by Russell Bailey. The property is located off Route 22, south of Whallonsburg near the old Essex Railroad Station in the Town of Essex. After minor regrading of the riverbank using hand tools, it will undergo saturation planting using shrub or tree seedlings or cuttings in conjunction with seeding with deep-rooted grasses to establish root structure which will help to minimize further erosion.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination: Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was not performed.
SEQR Lead Agency: None Designated
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination: Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.
Coastal Management: This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
Opportunity for Public Comment: Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contact Person no later than May 25 2001.

Project is Located: Altamont, Franklin County
Project Description:

The applicant has formed a new Water District No.17 to supply municipal water to residents of the Little Wolf Pond area of the Town of Altamont. Approximately 11,700 lineal feet of water main and 103 service connections will be installed. An average of 38,400 gallons per day of water will be provided to the District by the existing, approved water sources owned and operated by the Village of Tupper Lake through an inter-municipal agreement between the Village and Town. The Adirondack Park Agency (APA) is also reviewing this project as APA Project No. 2001-8.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination: Project is not subject to SEQR because it is a Type II action.
