The above applicant requests a modification to its existing Mined Land Reclamation permit to install and operate a rock crushing unit for the purpose of periodically crushing over sized stone (cobbles) generated at the existing mine site. The applicant states that the crusher, if approved, will be used 1 to 3 months a year to process stockpiles of stone and will be located within the existing mineral processing area. The mine site is located to the south of County Route 65 in the hamlet of Bangall.

The Village has applied for a Water Supply Approval (WSA#10146) to develop a well designated as Well #4 (the Sitecon Well) to be pumped at a rate of approximately 150 gallons per minute (gpm) as a additional source of potable water for use in the Village's existing water supply and distribution system. The Village currently has two approved wells; Well #1A and Well #3 approved for a combined total of 695 gpm. The proposed Well#4 is located adjacent to the Moodna Creek, approximately 1,000 feet away from the two existing wells, off NYS Rt. 94 (a.k.a. West Main Street), in the Town of Blooming Grove, Orange County, NY.

The Village of Kiryas Joel has applied for a Water Supply permit (WSA#10166) to develop and use four new wells to supplement the Village's existing water supply system. The wells, identified as Wells #23, 24, 25 & 26 would each be pumped no more than 18 hours per day at the maximum rates of 30, 50, 30 and 150 gallons per minute (gpm) respectively, for a combined total water taking of 281,000 gallons per day. These wells are located on a 70-acre parcel owned by the Village (known as the Brenner Property), between Industrial Road and the former Erie Lackawanna rail line, in the Town of Monroe, Orange County, NY.

The applicant proposes to do various restoration projects, such as placing rip rap , replacing bulkhead and creating a river access along his river front property at Garrison Landing in order to rehabilitate and stabilize the existing shoreline. The project is located at One Dock Street, Garrison.

The Department has made a tentative determination to approve this SPDES permit application for the surface discharge of up to 1,200 gallons per day (GPD) of treated sanitary wastewater from a commercial building into a tributary of Roaring Brook (DEC Water Index No. H-55-18-2; Class D). The project involves the reconstruction of a 2,800 square foot commercial building on the west side of Pudding Street, about 800 feet north of the Taconic State Parkway. In addition, portions of the existing septic system will be reconstructed. About 75 linear feet of the proposed discharge pipe will be located within State Freshwater Wetland No. OL-48 (Class II). The remainder of the re-construction (about 0.5 acre) will occur in the 100-foot adjacent area of the same wetland. The permittee will be required to maintain records and report data to verify compliance with the SPDES permit conditions and discharge limits. A draft SPDES permit is available for review at the DEC Region 3 office.

The applicant proposes to construct a single family residence within the 100 foot adjacent area of Freshwater Wetland TH-15, a class II wetland. The project also includes the construction of a driveway, sewer and water hookups and grading for a lawn. The project is located on the west side of Camp Hill Road, approximately 2,000 feet south of Route 202 in the Village of Pomona.

The applicant proposes to dredge 1300 cubic yards of sediment from a 2 acre pond (Class AA Special) located at the Town of Pound Ridge Town Park for recreational purposes. Dredge spoils will be disposed of on the western and northen embankments of the pond and will be stabilized with coir (coconut fiber) rolls and vegetation. Additional improvements include an underwater weir and a floating wetland constructed of coir pillows at the inlet to the pond to control sediments entering the pond. The project is located on the east side of NYS Route 137 (Westchester Avenue), 500 feet north of the intersection with West Lane in the Town of Pound Ridge, Westchester County.

Applicant requests a permit to cross a section of State Wetland A-14 (Class II) to provide road access for a proposed 33 lot subdivision of 83.9 acres known as "The Farm Subdivision". The project is located on the westerly side of Mahopac Avenue, north of Arden Drive. In addition, two stormwater biofilter basins are proposed to be constructed within the 100 foot adjacent area of Wetland A-14. The applicant has proposed the creation of two separate wetland areas of 0.56 and 0.46 acres in size as mitigation.
