Negative Declaration

Genesee County - The Town of Batavia, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Town of Batavia Hopkins, Hartshorn, Pearl Water District will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The project involves the construction of 24,000 linear feet of 8-inch watermain along portions of Pearl Street (NYS Route 33), Hartshorn, and Hopkins Roads. Residents in this area of the Town are dependent upon individual well supplies that typically produce limited yields of poor quality water, including wells contaminated with coliform bacteria. The public water supply for the Town of Batavia is treated and stored in the City of Batavia’s treatment plant and water storage tanks. The project is located on a portion of Pearl Street (NYS Route 33), Hartshorn, and Hopkins Roads, Town of Batavia.

Livingston County - The Livingston County Water & Sewer Authority, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Livingston County Water District No. 1, Zone 5 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The Livingston County Water & Sewer Authority will extend Water District No. 1 to create Zone 5 and provide water to residents along NYS Route 256 and within the Hamlet of Scottsburg in the Town of Sparta, and along East Swamp Road in the Town of Conesus. The project is designed to provide a safe and reliable water supply to residents dependent on wells which produce a limited supply of poor quality water, particularly water that is contaminated with coliform bacteria. The proposed improvements include the installation of approximately 28,000 linear feet of 8-inch watermain, a chlorine booster station, and a 150,000 gallon glass-lined steel tank. The project is located on a portion of NYS Route 256 and the Hamlet of Scottsburg, Town of Sparta, and portion of East Swamp Road, Town of Conesus.

Ontario County - The West Bloomfield Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Town of West Bloomfield Comprehensive Plan will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The Comprehensive Plan for the Town of West Bloomfield includes an inventory of existing conditions as well as Policies and Actions recommended to be undertaken to achieve community goals. Specific components of the Plan are: Community Facilities and Services, Infrastructure, Transportation, Population, Housing, Land Use, Environment, and the Economy. The project is located in the Town of West Bloomfield.

Orleans County - The County of Orleans, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Orleans County Courthouse Square Accessibility Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of additions to the Orleans County Courthouse and Clerk's Buildings, both on the National Registry of Historic Places. The purpose of the project is to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act and state Office of Court Administration court space requirements. The project consists of a 30' x 40' two story addition on the 1858 courthouse to accommodate a second judge's chamber, two offices and restrooms. An elevator will be located in the existing courthouse. A 33' x 15' two-story addition to the Clerk's Building allows an elevator, meeting room and restroom construction. The project is located at 3 South Main Street, Albion.

Positive Declaration

Monroe County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed construction of a new radio antenna at the Athena Middle/High School in the Greece Central School District, SED Project No. 26-05-01-06-0-017-024, may have a significant adverse environmental impact and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves the construction of a radio antenna which will reach 195 feet above grade. The project is located at 800 Long Pond Road, Rochester, New York.

Ontario County - The Town of Victor Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Belleville Subdivision may have a significant adverse environmental impact and a Draft EIS must be prepared. The action involves the subdivision of 76 acres of land into 76 single family lots and 38 acres of open space and conservation easement lands. The project is located on Lynaugh Road, Town of Victor.

Notice of Completion of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Wayne County - The Wayne County Water and Sewer Authority, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft EIS on the proposed Red Creek Area Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on May 14, 2001 at 7:00 P.M. at the Wolcott Town Hall and written comments are due by May 25, 2001. The action involves the construction of a 500,000 gpd regional wastewater treatment facility in the Town of Wolcott north of the Village of Red Creek. The treatment facility will be constructed so that it may be expanded at some time in the future to treat up to 1,000,000 gpd. The treatment facility will discharge effluent to Red Creek. The project is located in the Town of Wolcott.

Notice of Completion of Final EIS

Monroe County - The Penfield Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Final EIS on the proposed Paychex - Phase III. The action involves the expansion to the existing Paychex Corporate Headquarters. The proposal is to construct a 300,000 sq. ft. office building with associated parking and utility improvements on 33.93 acres. The project involves land development in two municipalities; the Town of Penfield and the Town of Pittsford. The project is located at 911 Panorama Trail South, Town of Penfield.

Steuben County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has accepted a Final EIS on the proposed land acquisition and construction of a New High School in the Corning-Painted Post Area School District, SED Project No. 57-10-00-01-0-052-001. Comments on the Final EIS will be accepted by the contact person until April 30, 2001. The action involves the purchase of 65 acres of land and 320,000 square feet of new construction. The project is located on New York State Route 417 in the Town of Erwin.
