Erie County - The NYS Office of Mental Health, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Demolish Building 52 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the demolition of a non-contributing structure within the National Register Historic District at Buffalo Psychiatric Center. The project is located at the Buffalo Psychiatric Center, 400 Forest Avenue, Buffalo.

Positive Declaration and Public Scoping Session

Erie County - The Town of Amherst Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Town of Amherst Deer-Vehicle Accident Management Plan may have a significant adverse environmental impact and a draft EIS must be prepared. A Scoping Session will be held on April 23, 2001 at 7:00 pm, at the Amherst Municipal Building, Council Chambers 2nd Floor, 5583 Main Street, Williamsville, New York. The Project involves adoption of a Deer-Vehicle Accident Management Plan in the Town of Amherst to effectively reduce the occurrence of deer-vehicle accidents in the Town. An integrated adaptive management approach may include methods of influencing human behavior, influencing deer behavior, controlling the deer population, and various combinations of these activities. Public input will be sought throughout the planning process.

Positive Declaration and Public Scoping Session

Erie County - The Boston Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Town of Boston Comprehensive Plan may have a significant adverse environmental impact and a Draft Generic EIS must be prepared. The Comprehensive Plan for the Town of Boston will include goals, policies and actions that will guide the development of the Town over the next 20 years. The Plan will include a thorough inventory of existing conditions in the Town, with identification of specific issues and opportunities. Chapters of the Plan will focus on population, housing, community services, the economy, land use, the environment, transportation and infrastructure, goals and policy and implementation. In addition, a future land use plan will be developed that will act as a blueprint for future decisions in the Town of Boston.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Erie County - The Town of Orchard Park, as lead agency, has accepted a draft EIS on the proposed Tops/K-Mart Plaza Expansion. A Public Hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on April 18, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at Orchard Park Municipal Ctr., 4295 So. Buffalo Street, Orchard Park. The project involves the construction of a 57,000 sq. ft. Tops supermarket and adjoining retail space (92,000 sq. ft.) as well as a separate 7,600 sq. ft. restaurant. The project is located at the southeast corner of Southwestern Boulevard and Orchard Park Road, Town of Orchard Park.
