The applicant proposes to replace the West State Street Bridge over the Genesee River. Access to the site will be over the levee of state maintained flood control land. A cobble/rock riprap access ramp and working platform will be constructed within the banks of the river. The new bridge will have a center pier. A sheet pile cofferdam will be installed (with dewatering and onsite treatment of that water) to allow for construction of the pier.

The proposal is for the renewal of a permit to continue periodic skimming and removing gravel (approximatley 350 cubic yards), from a bar in Eighteenmile Creek. The bar is aproximatley 40 feet wide and 200 feet long and is located at 7497 Back Creek Road about 2000 feet southeast (upstream) from Zimmerman Road in North Boston.

The proposal is for the periodic skimming and removal of about 350 cubic yards of gravel from a gravel bar in Eighteenmile Creek located at 9478 Boston State Road, which is approximately 700 feet north of Boston-Colden Road. The purpose of the work is to maintain the high water channel capacity and help relieve erosive pressure against the applicant's existing riprap revetment. The gravel bar is approximately 40 feet wide and 125 feet long.

Applicant proposes to skim approximately 1850 cubic yards of sand and gravel annually from four (4) gravel bars in Clear Creek. One bar is located on the west side of the US Route 62 bridge about 600 feet south of Richardson Road. The remainder are between bridges on Taylor Hollow Road and US Route 62, north of Richardson Road. All locations are on lands owned by the applicant. Clear Creek is a wild steelhead stream; therefore, sand and gravel bars will be skimmed to 12 inches above the typical low (summer) water level of the stream in order to provide habitat for steelhead fish.
