Project Description: The applicant proposes to construct an approximate 8.5 ft. high, 2650 ft. long earthen dam, impounding Black Creek and create 115 acres of improved wetland habitat consisting of emergent, submergent and open water covertypes in state regulated wetland BI-12 and Keaney Swamp Wildlife Management Unit. The earthen dam will be constructed using an existing town abandoned road as its base. Water levels will be controlled by an inline water level control structure and a heavy sheet steel piling box inlet drop spillway. The project is located along Truck Trail Road, south of Fink Hollow Road, approximately 1.21 miles east of the Fink Hollow Road and Dalton Road intersection. |

Project Description: The proposal is for the ratification and approval of the 1992 creation of the Country Woods Water District (for Country Woods Subdivision - 185 residences), the 1999 creation of Extension No. 1 (for Commerce Park Commercial Development - 15 lots), and the 2000 creation of Extension No. 2 (for Country Woods South Subdivision - 56 residences). Average daily demand for the entire system is estimated to be 127,000 gallons per day and is supplied by the Erie County Water Authority under the terms of a Lease Management Agreement signed on April 17, 1997. Construction for Country Woods Subdivision included installation of 10,725 linear feet of 8 inch diameter PVC waterline. Construction for Commerce Park and Country Woods South Subdivision will consist of 4,100 linear feet of 8 inch diameter PVC waterline, and 3,510 linear feet of 8 inch diameter PVC waterline, respectively, when all phases are completed by 2003. Country Woods Water District and Extensions Nos. 1 and 2 thereof are located in the area bounded on the west by Abel Road, on the south by Rogers Road and the NYS Thruway (I-190), on the north by Southwestern Boulevard (NYS Route 20), and on the east by Camp Road (NYS Route 75). |
