Project Description:

The applicant proposes to have the Cayuga County Soil and Water Conservation District (CCSWCD) dredge an existing ditch, approximately 630', along the north side of an abandoned trolley bed, on their property, to assist in the natural flow of water to DEC wetland W-24. The water is currently pooling up and flooding the applicant's property. Dredged material will be disposed of upland and/or to the CCSWCD property. Location: 9214 Lippoldt Road, Brutus (T).

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination: Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was performed.
SEQR Lead Agency: NYS Department of Environmental Conservation
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination: Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.
Coastal Management: This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
Opportunity for Public Comment: Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contact Person no later than Apr 27 2001.

The applicant proposes operate a 5.6 acre sand and gravel mine on a 243 acre parcel of land owned by Wayne Smith. Processing will occur on-site. Proposed mine is located on Valley View Road, approximately mile north of the intersection of Ridge Road and County Road 13A, Town of Otselic, Chenango County.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination: Project is a Type I action and will not have a significant effect on the environment. A coordinated review with other agencies was performed and a Negative Declaration is on file.

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination: A Structural-Archaeological Assessment Form has been completed. The proposed activity will not impact on registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures.

Project Description:

The City of Oswego proposes to make improvements to the City's water treatment plant to provide the capability to treat a maximum daily flow of 27 million gallons per day, an increase from 21.4 mgd currently permitted. The improvements consist of the replacement of four raw water pumps, new clarification equipment within the existing filtration building and the construction of a new water filter which will be housed in an addition to the existing filtration building. The application is availablee for review at the DEC Syracuse Office.
