Project Description:

The applicant proposes to return Coeymans Creek to the original stream bed location on the applicant's property located in the Town of Bethlehem. Accumulated gravel and debris will be removed from a 20' wide by 100' long stretch of the old channel to a depth of 2'. Stone rip rap will also be placed along aproximately 100' of stream bank located just below the Rte. 396 bridge. All in stream work will take place between June 15, 2001 and August 31, 2001.

The applicant proposes to remove accumulated gravel from an aggraded section of West Settlement Creek and to replace an inadequately sized driveway culvert with a culvert or bridge with a larger hydraulic opening. The area of gravel removal is approximately 90 feet in length and the streambed will be excavated to match stable dimension of the stream above and below the project. The project is located on County Route 1 approximately 1/2 mile north of the intersection with Mookas Road.
