Project Description: The purpose of the proposed project is to deliver natural gas for distribution to the Bronx, NY. The project consists of : (1) approximately 30.3 miles of 24-inch diameter pipeline from Northport, NY to the Bronx, NY with associated valves and maintenance equipment ; (2) a new 20,000 HP compressor station at Boonville NY(NYSDEC Application # 6-502600082/00001). (3) a new 20,000 HP compressor Station at Dover, NY (NYSDEC Application # 3-1326-00211/00001); (4) a 3,300 HP increase and cooling unit at the existing Wright Compressor Station (NYSDEC Application # 4-4350-00008/00011); (5) an 11,000 HP increase at the existing Croghan compressor station; (6) a cooling unit at the existing Athens compressor station; (7) a Metering and Odorant Facility and point of interconnection with the facilities of the Consolidated Edison Company of New York located on Brush Ave in the Bronx (NYSDEC Application # 2-6006-00095/00001). Air State Facility Permit Applications have been recieved for the compressor and metering stations as noted above. All air applications are also complete for review. The application for a Section 401 Water Quality Certificate is for all project locations in DEC Regions 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6. |
