Erie County - The Town of Amherst Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Adoption of the Town of Amherst Comprehensive Plan may have a significant adverse environmental impact and a draft EIS must be prepared. The Project involves adoption of a Comprehensive Plan for the Town of Amherst to guide the future growth of the Town. The Plan will include an inventory of existing conditions and facilities, and policies that the Town can implement in order to reach identified goals. Specific components of the Plan include demography, environment, transportation, land use, economy, community services and cultural resources. Public input will be sought throughout the planning process.
