The Department has made a tentative determination to approve this application to modify a SPDES permit to decrease an existing surface discharge from 6,900 gallons per day (gpd) to 3,150 gpd of treated sanitary wastewater from the applicant's bungalow colony (Pine Circle Estates) into an unnamed tributary to Kinnebrook, Class B. The project involves repairing and upgrading wastewater treatment facilities by removing failed components and constructing two new primary sand filter beds, alternating dosing siphon, pump chamber, polishing sand filter bed, chlorination tank, and outfall to the stream. The project is located northeast of the intersection of NYS Route 17B and Maplewood Garden Road in the Town of Thompson, Sullivan County. A draft permit is available for inspection and comment at the regional office.
