Project description: Applicants propose a three-lot subdivision for the purpose of creating three building lots to be conveyed to their sons. Two of the proposed lots are improved by one existing mobile home each; one lot is vacant. One of the sons proposes to replace an existing mobile home with a modular home. Each lot will be served by individual on-site water and wastewater treatment systems and separate driveways. The project site is located within a designated "river area" but at least 700 feet from the AuSable River, a "recreational river" under the New York State Wild, Scenic and Recreational Rivers System. The lots range in size from 9.938 to 10.090 acres.

Project description: The action involves the construction of a 60' x 83.3' (5,000 sq. ft.) addition to an existing commercial boat storage building that is 60' x 100' in size. The addition will be used to store approximately 20 boats on a long-term basis; generally over winter. The proposed addition will be constructed immediately adjacent to a deciduous forested wetland. Boats to be stored at the proposed facility will generally be boats that are docked at the Castaway Marina on Lake George which is also owned by the applicants. Repairs of boats and/or motors will not take place in the proposed structure or at the project site, and the proposed facility will not have a bathroom or running water.

Public Notice

Saratoga County - The Town Board of the Town of Milton has set a Special Meeting, Monday, April 9, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall, 503 Geyser Road, Ballston Spa, New York, for a discussion of all public comments on the the Master/Comprehensive Plan and all Amendments to the Zoning and Subdivision Regulations. Public Comments must be in writing and filed by the close of business on April 9, 2001 with the Town Clerk of the Town of Milton at the Town Hall, 503 Geyser Road, Ballston Spa, New York.

Negative Declaration

Clinton County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Ausable Point Public Campground tree cutting and construction will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves removal of 30 trees for the construction of a new comfort station and shower building. Tops and stems will be chipped and dispersed on site. Comfort station replacement at this location has been coordinated with the Adirondack Park Agency.

Notice of Acceptance of Supplemental Draft Generic EIS and Public Hearing

Warren County - The Olympic Regional Development Authority, as lead agency, has accepted a Supplemental Draft Generic EIS on the proposed 2001-2006 Gore Mountain Ski Center Supplemental Unit Management Plan. The action involves the update to the 1995 Unit Management Plan/Generic Environmental Impact Statement. The status of the management actions approved in the 1995 UMP is summarized, and new management actions are identified and analyzed. Management actions include a long term replacement and modernization plan to restore all equipment, machinery, infrastructure and structures whose useful life is over or nearly over, trail creation and widening, lift replacement and lift construction (including a lift/trail connection to the Town of Johnsburg Ski Bowl Park), development of a tubing hill with a surface lift, development of two sand pits for use as needed on-site, and snowmaking equipment and related system improvements. The project is located on Peaceful Valley Rd., North Creek.
