Negative Declaration

Cayuga County - The Town Board of Aurelius, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Cayuga Recreational Facility will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the rezoning of 192 acres to PDD; development of recreational facility including 18 hole golf course, driving range, associated maintenance facilities and 50,000 SF clubhouse/banquet facility. The project is located on the southeast corner of intersection of NYS 90 and Routes 5 and 20 in the Town of Aurelius.

Madison County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Management-Ignited Prescribed Fire on the Tioughnioga Wildlife Management Area will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a controlled burn of 18 acres on Tioughnioga Wildlife Management Area. The proposed burn is broken down into two sub-units ranging in size from eight to ten acres. The purpose of the prescribed fire is to consume available fuels and retard brush and tree growth to promote the growth and vigor of grass species and legumes to maintain the site in early successional habitat consistent with wildlife management goals. The prescribed fire is planned for early March through early June of 2001. The controlled burn may be scheduled any time between these dates, provided environmental conditions are favorable to accomplish the specific management goals. The project is located on DEC access roads in the Towns of Nelson and Cazenovia.

Madison County - The Planning Board of the Town of Sullivan, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Clay Hill LLC Communications Tower will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves construction of a 195 foot cellular communications tower. The project is located on Clay Hill Road in the Town of Sullivan.

Public Hearing on the DEIS

Onondaga County - The Planning Board of the Town of Dewitt will hold a public hearing on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for Hummel Estates Residential Subdivision published in the 02/21/01 issue of the ENB. The hearing will be held on March 22, 2001 at the Town of Dewitt Hall, 5400 Butternut Drive, Dewitt, New York, at 7:15 p.m. Written comments will be accepted until March 26, 2001.
